ATN MK390 NV Scope

Post by ATN_Rep on Thu Jul 24, 2008 5:52 pm

Well if your range will trun off the lights for you it would be ok. But if it is a well lit indoor range I would not recommend using an NV Scope for a prolonged period of time. The Night Vision Scopes are designed to be used at night for hunting.

All the Best,

Thanks for your reply. After further research I think I decided on the mk390 in anticipation of your answer. I did forget to mention a good part of my shooting would be at an indoor range. Other than that it would probably be an ornament in my safe. Do these precautions still apply under these conditions?

Night Vision Rifle Scopes

It is a great question that is often asked. Although you can use a night vision weapon sight for a sort period of time with a day light filter to sight in your scope. We do not recommend you using it all the tiem during excessively lit conditions. Over time it will cause a burn in inside the image intensifier tube. The scope I recommend woould be the ATN MK330 or ATN MK390.

Considering purchase of gen.1 nv optics for .308 cal. Probably yukon or atn based on price (not sure which model yet). Any input on using NV w/ daylight filter? Does this degrade performance or ad usable range? Any input will be greatly appreciated.
