Pulsar Recon 550 or 325?

Will try to find somewhere i can play around with one before i place an order though.

The Recon 550 is a most popular NV device and seems to perform well. The Recon 325 physically appears similar but very little information is available about it, even on the Pulsar specification page. At this time, we are not even cataloging the 325 which makes me wonder why. Both products can be found here: http://www.pulsar-nv.com/products_list.aspx
As for internal illuminators vs. external? I think most of the separate external illuminators are built to be somewhat more powerful than the internal models, but there are some states that do not allow night vision devices with built in illuminators, so it is a necessary option in those cases.

I've heard good things about the Pulsar Recon 550 but I'm considering the 325 instead as x2 is just about right for my purpose. I don't need x4 but before I go ahead and place an order I was hoping someone might clear up a couple of questions that I have.

The Recon 550 received good reviews for it's feature set and quality for a "budget" digital NV, does the 325 share exactly the same attributes but with a lower magnification?

And does it use the same CCD?

I've had a look around but I can't actually find a review of a 325 to compare the two against one another. If the 325 is technically the same as the 550 but simply smaller and with a x2 magnification instead, I'll purchase it.

Also, is the 940nw flashlight that's available in kit 78022K significantly better than the integrated one on the 325? I appreciate it's less visible to the naked eye but is that the only benefit?
