No LRF is going to give you a reading on a deer or even an elk at 600 yards consisitently, despite advertising to the contrary. Out in the field, you will need to
target a nearby, larger
target at anything much beyond 300 yards if you want consistent performance, regardless of the model. That's from feedback from many, many customers, even those using high end models from
Swarovski and Leica.
