Hi,

The new Scout 1000 has not been released from Bushnell yet, so I checked them out on the web. Did you see the Scout 1000 with ARC? Range goes from 5-1000 yards and it has Angle Range Compensation with Bow mode for bowhunting compensation from 5-99 yds. This unit has a longer eye relief than the Elite, and is much smaller. According to Bushnell, this laser rangefinder will be available around Labor Day, 2007.

Of these three laser rangefinder choices, the Bushnell Yardage Pro 1000 will have the most powerful laser. Generally, this means it is slightly less affected by atmospheric problems like fog, rain, humidity, dust, etc.

My personal favorite is the Bushnell Elite 1500 Laser Rangefinder. This unit adds features like closest object distancing, farthest object, and a long eye relief for eyeglass wearers.

Ryan,

I was not referring to the yardage pro 1000. I have not ever seen that one before. They came out with a new scout ...Scout 1000. The old scout is 6x22 and the new one is 5x24. i cannot really find anything else different. I think you can still buy the old scout. Just trying to decide. And then there is the Legend 6x.. and is waterproof.

I like these two because of their compactness. I don't really know much about the YP 1000. I will use for bowhunting and I don't really like that it starts at 20 yards versus 10. The elite 1500 is too big and too $$ for what I want to use for.

scout or scout 1000

i have been going back and forth with rangefinders and i cannot decide to buy the scout, scout 1000, or the legend? I thought hard about buying the scout until I heard about the scout 1000. Now the legend also looks tempting.

Help!!
