I have a
Leupold RX-1000 and I like the size and clarity, but the reticle is too bright, even at its lowest setting. I think the
Leica CRF 1200 is the finest
rangefinder made in terms of clarity and performance in a compact package, although I have had occasions that I have used the slope, or TBR feature, which
Leica does not offer. If you're hunting flatlands, the
Leica can't be beat. If you'll get into some cliffs, the
Leupold with the TBR is the way to go. You'll sacrifice some optical quality, though. The
Nikon is a bit clumsy for my tastes.
