Fujinon Rifle Scopes

I own a 3-9x42 [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/fujinon-brand.html]Fujinon[/link]. I agree that it is a nice bright scope. My suggestion is DO NOT buy one unless you want a throwaway scope. That is because though the [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/leupold-brand.html]scopes[/link] have a lifetime warranty [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/fujinon-brand.html]Fujinon[/link] will not back it because they do not make [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/leupold-brand.html]scopes[/link] anymore. At least that is what the national sales manager in New Jersey told me. My scope developed a problem internally. I called [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/fujinon-brand.html]Fujinon[/link] and everyone seemed baffled by how to honor their lifetime warranty. I finally got the head honcho on the phone and he said they can't honor their warranty because they don't ake [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/leupold-brand.html]scopes[/link]. I told him that was unacceptable and he said go ahead and send him the scope and he would see what he could do. Long story short - the scope sat in his office for a year and when I called he sent it back to me unrepaired. Decent product - horrible service. I will never buy anything [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/fujinon-brand.html]Fujinon[/link] again.

I hate that I did not ever buy a riflescope of theirs because I looked through one years ago and it was brilliant edge to edge. Luckily I did buy a [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/fujinon-brand.html]Fujinon[/link] [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/spottingscopes.html]spotting scope[/link] and it easily performs beside any [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/leica-brand.html]Leica[/link] or [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/swarovski-brand.html]Swarovski[/link] for a literal fraction of the cost.

A Google search puts the prices in the mid-range, but they have been discontinued for at least three years. I don't remember ever looking at one.

I take it that they discontinued their rifle scopes. I noticed that optics planet carries other optics by [url=http://www.opticsplanet.com/fujinon-brand.html]Fujinon[/url] and I was wondering how their scopes rated. What would it be comprable with as far as other brands/models, ie [url=http://www.opticsplanet.com/leupold-brand.html]Leupold[/url] VXI, VXII, [url=http://www.opticsplanet.com/nikon-brand.html]nikon[/url] prostaff, [url=http://www.opticsplanet.com/nikon-brand.html]nikon[/url] buckmaster, Leapers, NCStar?
