0 Tactical/Target scope

I have a Vortex Viper 6.5-20X50PA on my 6.5 Grendel. You may be able to find these on sale for under $375. Great scope, I've shot to 1300yds using a 20moa raiser, plenty of adjustment. It has side focus, a 30mm tube, the 50mm bell pulls in a lot of light, optic quality is great. The eye box is a bit finicky as you increase magnification, that's the only negative I have.

I just installed a Alpen Apex 6-22X50 on my Noveske N6. A lot like the Vortex with better eye relief, same small eye box at high magnification.

First choice would be the Vortex.

Do not buy the Millet, I had multiple problems. The scope would not focus past 14x, the clarity of the glass was poor, the rings were not matched which made it impossible to sight in and hold zero. Optics Planet gave me a full refund without any problems. But in my opinion this scope should not be bought by anyone. Save your money and buy a Nikon or Leupold.

I am also looking for a target scope in the same range for my 223 Savage model 25 to shoot out to 600 yds at the target range, mostly 100 to 200 yds. Is the 4 to 16 power enough? I am considering the Voertex Viper 6.5-20 or the Millett LRS 6.5-25. Any thoughts or recommendations on these. The Millett has a bigger objective and so may require a high ring while the Vortex may ony require the medium ring height. Both priced about the same any surprises betweent the two?

I would recommend something in the Vortex Viper line. Take a look at this Viper 4-16x44. Vortex manufactures a great scope! The glass is extremly bright and the turrets have crisp and clean click adjustments.

I would like suggestions on a scope for a 308 to reach out to 800 yards, my limit is around $500. I want at least 14 power variable and 40mm+ obj lense, target turrets,mil,moa or bdc reticle if possible with lots of internal adjustment so I guess a 30mm tube would be better.Also I would prefer Japanese glass/scope.
