Take a look at the 2.5-10x42 Nikon Monarch. Great glass for a good price. A 2.5-10x can take you from 50 yards to over 500 if need be, but is ideal from 50-350 yard hunting. You'll be very happy with a monarch.

Did you want the scope to be in the scout (forward) position or over the receiver like a traditional scope?

i bought the ruger gunsite scout .308 and i need a good scope for whitetail hunting for under 400...mostly hunting in northern pa and looking for ranges from 25-150 yards....hopefully u guys can point me in the right direction
