I just looked at the
Hawke Eclipse 30 4-16x50 for the first time. We just started carrying them this year. I have played with some of their other offerings including their mounts. They seem like entry level and decent for the money. Nothing to write home about. The Eclipse seems like it may fit the bill for you. The heft of it and size give the impression of a higher quality level. The elevation and windage adjustments seem crisp, the picture is fair, and the illumination is both red and green and goes low enough not to drown out a dark
target. It will never pretend to be the quality of your Leupolds. Not in the same world. You originally mentioned a quality scope. The word quality is subjective. Would I put it on a good airgun of mine? Perhaps, but this one is really large and heavy. Too big and heavy for me. Otherwise it seems like an okay product, and about the only one that has the features you were looking for. Thanks for bringing the Eclipse line to my attention.
The
Leupold Custom Shop cannot adjust a parallax setting down to 10 meters on an AO or side focus scope. Only on a fixed parallax model.
