The Fastfire is a heck of a sight. i would trust it completely on a 44 mag. Its built to take the abuse of a 12 and 10 gauge as well. For the money, its a fantastic MRD. The RMR and deltapoint are very nice, but for almost half the price, the Fastfire is a great way to go.

Reflex or Red Dot?

Post by Fletchman on Sun Jul 01, 2012 8:33 am

I have a Ruger Redhawk in 44 mag. I have a Burris 2x handgun scope I use for deer hunting. However I want to find a reflex sight for short range wild boar and black bear. I have looked at Burris Fastfire, Leupold Delta point and a trijicon that I don't know the model of. I have never owned a sight other than scopes. I have read about red dots of various types but would like to have something as small as possible but also I want something that will stand up to fullhouse 44 mag loads. The burris scope I have is very solid and impressive. I have no doubts about it. However not knowing about reflex/red dot sights I would like some suggestions.
