The 5187 is a belt holster. The 5188 comes with paddle and belt attachments. We're having the pages corrected. The 5188 only comes with both. Thanks.

Safariland 5187 vs 5188???

Post by WPBSkipper on Sat Jan 02, 2010 9:36 pm

Hello Sir,

I am interested in purchasing a Safariland 5187 for both my SA XD9 and Glock 34 for USPSA competition. I definitely want the belt loop option (instead of the paddle option), so it appears that the 5187 is the correct choice. However, I compared the 5187 to the 5188 and became puzzled. The 5187 shows a picture of a holster with belt loops, but describes a "paddle attachment." The 5188 shows a picture of a paddle attachment, but describes a "belt loop" attachment AND a "paddle attachment."

Are these the same holster(s) should I purchase if I simply want the belt loop attachment & NOT the paddle attachment?

Thanks!
