OK, after exploring this website a little more, which I should have tried before posting my questions  , I found the "how-to-guides" and understand the eyepieces and Barlow lens a little...but now my question is regarding the Eyepiece/filter accessory kit offered here:

Code: CI-TA-94303
MPN: 94303
UPC: 050234943031

The description says it has "five superior grade Plossl eyepieces"...how do the eyepieces in the kit compare to the individual eyepieces offered for sale here? I see "Meade Series 4000 Super Plossl Eyepieces" and "Meade Series 5000 HD-60 Telescope 1.25 Eyepieces", Celestron X-Cel LX Series 1.25in Eyepieces, for example...at what level would the eyepieces in the kit fall, compared to these other eyepieces I've listed?

Telescope Eyepieces

I recently purchased the Celestron NexStar 6SE Special Edition 6in Schmidt-Cassegrain Computer Telescope, which came with one eyepiece. Will upgrading the eyepiece of the telescope increase the magnification(make the object I'm viewing larger)? There is an eyepiece/filter accessory kit offered for sale here, which contains an item listed as "Barlow Lens - 2x (1.25")" -- am I correct in assuming it doubles the magnification if used with an eyepiece?

Sorry if these questions are rather simplistic...this is the first telescope I have ever owned, and I know little to nothing about using it...but I am learning.
