Hi

QR plates are not universal. They are brand and even model specific within a brand. Can't offer any window mount that uses a Vanguard plate. Currently the only window mount we can offer is the Burris, and that QR plate will not match up with any other tripod we sell.

You can build a window mount with a QR plate by buying a Bogen 3292 window pod (clamp only),and then add a small head with a QR, such as the Bogen 700RC2 You can then use any standard Bogen tripod with the RC2 QR plate or any Nikon made by Bogen, such the Nikon 848

the perfect tripod!?!?

I have a Leupold 12-40x60 spotting scope that I use for hunting and I would also like to start digiscoping with. Currently I have a Vanguard Ph-304 window mount that has the QS-36 quick shoe. The hunting I do is both from a truck and walking as well as backpacking so weight is somewhat of an issue, but I can deal with it as I only backpack occasionaly as long as it doesn't weigh too much (5 pounds or so?). I am looking for a high quality tripod for the spotting scope that also incorporates a Quick Release. I would love to find a quick release for my tripod that works with the window mount I already have. If not, I will need a window mount and tripod that use the same quick release so that I can quickly switch my spotting scope from window mount to tripod without unscrewing anything. I need the head of the tripod to be very smooth and the tripod itself needs to be very sturdy and fold up small enough to be manageable on a day pack. My friend has a Manfrotto 718SHB and I like it but it has been discotinued. Are there any replacements for that model or what is the best fit for a tripod for me. I know this is a tall order, but any help would be very appreciated as trying to keep all the different models and manufactures strait in my mind is driving me nuts!!! I would like to keep the price somewhere in the $200 to range if possible. Thanks.
