The Yukon Digital Ranger will out preform any generation 1 unit on the market today. The Digital Ranger will give you a recognition range of about 100 yards compared to a true recognition range of about 75 yards on generation 1 units. I had one out about 3 weeks ago and spotted, and recognized, a raccoon at about 125 yards under good ambient conditions. Digital night vision preforms just as well as most generation 2 units and can rival some lower end generation 3 units. For a price tag of under $400 it is a great buy.

Hi guys,

Need to do a bit of skywatching. I was looking at these for it but I'm not sure.

Yukon Digital Night Vision Ranger 5x42 LT Digital NV Monocular Scope 28041.

Can you suggest some gen1's that might be capable of this? I can't afford gen2 or 3.
