The image quality will be very similar, the bigger issue if eye relief. I have tried, and you can use a NVM14 in front of the ocular and you will be able to use this setup efficiently. the trade of is that you eye needs to be right on the NVM which is right on the eyepiece. The recoil could hit the NWM back into your eye and cause you harm. The bonus to a PS22 is that you can still use any rifle and scope setup without changing your muscle memory for that perfect hold. So, can you use an NVM with a scope, yes. Is the PS22 a better option, yes.

ATN NVM 14 or ATN PS 22?

Is the image seen through a scope w/ a night vision monocular, such as the ATN NVM 14, as good as the image seen through a scope w/ the ATN PS 22?

I want a gen 3+ model so I would be spending at least ~$3000 anyway, but is the higher price for the PS 22 worth it? I'm worried the monocular will limit the width(objective)when using it with a scope.

Also, is the PS 40 model much better than the PS 22?

If it matters, I will most likely be using this at ranges less than 200 yards for coyotes and hogs on an AR type rifle(either 5.56 or 7.62). Wooded and open areas also.

Thanks for any suggestions!
