The Leica CRF 1200 is my favorite laser rangefinder for hunting. It would be even better with true horizontal distance capabilities. The picture quality is shockingly good, even better than the Swarovski.

But for Golf, I like the Bushnell Pinseeker. It is the best on the market for golfing, in my opinion. The picture quality is not up to Leica standards, but nothing is.

Leica for golf?

Post by ilikebeer on Thu Jun 25, 2009 8:03 am

I'm in the market for a rangefinder, primarily for golf. The Leicas all seem to be universally beloved, but I'd like to know if they are suitable for near-field objects (pins, eg) instead of far.

If not Leica, any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I'm interested primarily in viewfinder brightness and performance in sub-optimal conditions (ie, haze); all of the units I've used seem to be accurate enough for me (older Callaway & Bushnells) but lack in the two areas I cited.

Thanks in advance.
