For storage in mechanical and vapor-phase liquid nitrogen freezers. Bar codes make these vials ideal for automated data collection, sample inventory, or to mask the identity of samples. Code 128-numeric bar code is printed in black on white background. Vials are guaranteed to have no duplicate numbers. Human readable information is printed below the bar code. Bar codes are resistant to isopropyl alcohol, 100% butanol, 10-20% DMSO, 5% bleach, 10% acetic acid, 10% hydrochloric acid, and 10% NaOH.

A sealing ring, in conjunction with specially designed threads, permits secure closure in approximately 21/2 turns. Externally threaded vials and deep-skirted closures allow single-handed aseptic technique without exposing fingers to vial contents.

White marking area, fill line, and graduations are printed on the side. Vials have a large inner diameter for convenient filling. Vials and closures are preassembled and radiation-sterilized. Certified sterile, noncytotoxic, and nonpyrogenic. Self-standing.

Standard vials are made of polypropylene with polyethylene closures. SYSTEM 100* vials are made of polypropylene with silicone gasketed polypropylene closures, which ensure leakproof performance in a microcentrifuge (up to 8000g) and during shipment.

Warning: Do not use cryogenic vials for storage in the liquid phase of liquid nitrogen.
