Nonvented dishes are ideal for working with oxygen-sensitive microorganisms, for use in a CO2 chamber, and for other anaerobic applications. For all types of culturing where accurate bacterial count or microscopic examination is required. Molded from virgin polystyrene, these dishes provide distortion-free visibility. Engineered for optimum flatness to provide uniform agar thickness. Gamma radiation or ethylene oxide (EO) gas sterilized.

Semi-stackable dishes feature rings on the lid and bottom to help dishes stack, but are somewhat slippable and suitable for automated handling. Pill pocket dishes feature a pocket for CO2 tablets on the inside wall of the bottom dish. I-plate dishes have bottoms divided into two sections. Slippable dishes can slide freely on top of each other to facilitate automated handling.
