This light was purchased as a birthday gift for my husband who is a Flashaholic and has almost every light immaginable! Since he got this light he hasn't touched any of the others and carries it with him everywhere. He also likes to show it to everyone who will be still long enough which is really out of character for him, he just loves it that much. It is extremely lightweight and does feel like a quality light that will last a long time. It is easy to turn on when it's carried in pants pockets but shirts are no problem. He really likes that it starts out dim and gets brighter so he doesn't get blinded looking behind things (tv, stereo, car dash) at close range. With most lights I normally can't tell much difference with the different settings....not true with this one...there is a very noticable difference. The bright setting feels like you have the power of the sun in your hands! The fact that it uses AAA batteries is also a bonus. Don't think it would be my first choice as ...

Saw Nutinfancy's video review for EDC. Makes sense to have a small "pen" light that can carry all the time. Fits in a shirt pocket, very light (so light it's easy to throw the shirt in the laundry with the light in the pocket). Now I carry my tactical light in my bag & have the Preon 2 on me all the time. Love all the settings. Glad I made the leap to AAA. It's easy to carry extra batts in my go kit.
Incredible Value!!!

This is my EDC light. Having been a surefire guy for awhile I was somewhat hesitant to swap over, but I'm glad I did! The light is super lightweight, very compact, and works like a champ. The tailcap switch is easy to use and the light is very bright and extremely clean. My only complaint is that the light squence starts with the dim setting and then goes to med then bright. I would prefer it to start with bright and go to dim for tactical use, but still a minor complaint! You won't be disappointed!

This was my first "quality" light to purchase, and I bought it from a recommendation. Could not be more happy with it. Battey life keeps well even with moderate use. Only issue is that I carry it in my back pocket and occasionally it will get hung on fabric chairs/couches and bend the clip, but that is easily fixed. Five Stars

When I received the flashlisht the switch was broken. It was returned to Optic planet and I have heard nothing about the exchange. So I am unable to rate this product at this time.
