Great compact light

This is a great compact light, and very bright. With the "Tactical" models, you need to choose 2 of the modes to be your main usage. Loosen the head and you have one mode, tighten it down and you have the other mode. It takes a little bit to get used to programming the modes, but they have instructions and even a YouTube video walking you through the process. I chose Medium for regular seeing in the dark, and Max for long distance and impressing people as my two main settings.

The CR123 batteries are a little bit pricey, but there are deals to be had if you buy them in bulk. Plus, using this battery instead of the other AA models allows for brighter output with longer run times. The quoted run times seem short in text, but even on with just moderate usage they have lasted longer than I had expected and are still going strong.

I mainly use the pocket clip, though it comes with a lanyard and a holster pouch. It is a little bulky in the pocket, but anything larger than a pen light will be.

The only thing I don't like, is being that loosening the head (the part with the bulb) is how you select modes, you shouldn't be able to unscrew it all the way. You only need to go 1/4 turn to change modes, so you are not likely to mistakenly unscrew it a full 4 turns and have the head fall off, but still.
