3rd try, still no luck

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, NC Written on March 1, 2013
ordered 2 pair of Blackhawk brand which sucked, so decided to try this brand. each time raising price of purchase in hopes of better quality. to say nothing of hassle of returning a third pair and waiting for a refund. going to try a $100 pair of camelbacks next. hopefully they will be right. will let you know.
Pros: look cool
Cons: mismatched sizing...

Most reliable

These gloves are the best combat oriented gloves I have seen on the market. Every aspect makes then great the spit nucks make them more flexible and not stuck being wide like other hard nuck gloves. The leather palms and finger tips keep dexterity to the max that you can have with gloves on. The wraparound the top of the finger design is the best thing I have seen on a combat glove ever. It is a great feature for firing and mantainance on weapons even when lubed up or dry. Small pieces when dark are still felt. My one pair lasted the entire 8 month deployment. Will get wear and tear if used the only thing that died on it was the stitching at the bottom where the pull tabs are. Other than that no problems. And that was after many months of daily use....

Not worth the money

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on October 7, 2012
I want to like these, but I simply cannot. Because as with most of 5.11's other models (AK2 and SLP Specifically), the make of the gloves are not consistent. One glove may fit fine, but another glove of the same make and size may fit differently. For example. I tried two pairs of these. The smalls I tried on were tight, but tight enough that I was afraid I'd break the glove when I made a fist. The mediums I ended up with had one glove that fit fine, and the other that had the pointer and middle finger too long (I noticed similar issues with the thumbs on other 5.11 models)

While I like 5.11's actual clothing, their gloves (which are made by Ironclad), I do not see remotely ready for use. Until quality control goes up, these aren't worth more than $20. If they don't fit like a glove, what's the point?
Pros: Comfortable, Soft, Relatively well built
Cons: Some odd interior seams, terrible inconsistent fit....
