The power needs to be decreased to lst that long. I intended to return the light. However, I like that it recharges in 90 seconds. While out late on a dark roadway or searching for a suspect I had learned to decrease the power. I am keeping the light with some reservations. I also carry a back up light just in case. I love the brightness of the light and have not found naything like it. It is very light weight and is a very workable light. I was some what uncomfortable that it would not work on full power for the hour. I got used to it and you will also. I believe the company should list the time frames in their description. I have decided to keep the light for its very practical use, and that it recharges so quickly.
