Rush MOAB 10 is a good gear slinger

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, SC Written on April 19, 2013
I got this bag to use as an everyday going to work bag (replacing a messenger bag) that could double as a day trip/hike bag. Easily took everything from my messenger bag although my 15.6" macbook pro was a bit of a tight fit. I took out the stiff panel behind the hydration compartment to make it fit a little more comfortable.

Easy to dump the work gear out and put in/attach my hike/trip gear (first aid kit, "survival" stuff, etc). Carries pretty well even with a larger load/weight.

The molle on the front panels is easy to work with. Added an EMT pouch and some single magazine pouches there. The side molle was harder to work with in spots. Seems a little narrower than it should be near the bottom. The molle on the strap isn't useful to me. Either the placement or the spacing is off so I haven't tried putting anything there.

All in all, the Rush MOAB 10 is a good gear slinger and worth what I paid for it.
Pros: Size, construction, features, front molle, concealed carry compartment
Cons: side molle...

Great bag!

I bought this bag as a go bag, filling it with medical supplies, extra mags, etc. I also use it to carry off duty. It's a nice alternative to wearing a holster all the time. I really like all the functions and versatility. It's a great bag!
Pros: Versatile, lots of compartments, compact, easy to carry...

5.11 Rush MOAB 10

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TN Written on June 22, 2012
I have had this bag for about six months now and I am in love with it. I use it as a school bag for college, a range bag, a carry on, and my EDC during the summer. The construction is very solid and it is very comfortable to wear. It also has many separate areas for organization of your stuff which is very nice. The only downside that I can think of is that the main compartment could stand to have a little more room. However I have only found this to be an issue when I am carrying large amounts of books to the library. If you are looking to use it for school, it can fit a 3 ring binder, two textbooks, a Nalgene, and a Think Pad in the main compartment at once. If you are looking to use it for anything else, buy with confidence. This is hands down the best pack that I have ever owned.
Pros: Easy to use, cool, durable, versatile, lots of separate storage compartments
Cons: not massive amounts of storage space...

normal equipment

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on May 27, 2012
I feel the bag has not designed for fast-moving activities, unless carry certain heavy gears. For example, if riding mountain bike, the bag may bump out of your shoulder; if you tight the strip, you may feel a little uncomfortable for the shoulder, especially, for the whole body' balance.

It is nice bag for jogging, walking, schooling and requiring less body balance.
Pros: everycarry
Cons: not for serious performance...
