Good pants with one flaw

by Mike, from United States, TX Written on March 7, 2015
I have several pair of the Tactical Stryke Pants and find them both comfortable and very well made. My only beef with this top-of-the-line pant is the phone slot placement. While standing it is easy to access a phone, but while driving or seated, it is almost impossible to remove the phone!...

All around great everyday pair of pants!

by Gary, from United States, OR Written on February 17, 2015
I've had them for about a month now, here are my observations:
Pros: quality craftsmanship, fit, finish, utility, comfort!
Cons: a little "heavy", price.

I wear 34/34 and these fit perfectly. They are definitely fitted (not baggy) which I like. They have a very casual look to them (not too tactical) and I find myself wanting to wear them daily. The only negative (which could be a positive for some) is that they have a somewhat heavy feel to them. Due to the expanding waistband, there's a lot of material around the waist area which makes them feel a little thick for everyday use. For a tactical situation, this would not be an issue as the belt loops are constructed very well and appropriate for a duty belt or CCW.

I live in Oregon and the temps are pretty mild even in the winter and the weight of the material is just a bit too much for most days. I also own a pair of 5.11 jean-cut pants, the weight of material is much lighter and I typically opt for them for daily wear when the temps are over 40.

Overall, a well constructed, comfortable pair of pants, can't go wrong with 5.11!...
Pros:
  • Durability
  • Fit
  • utility
  • Craftsmanship
  • Quality, ruggedness
  • Comfortable fit
Cons:
  • weight
Best Used for:
  • Outdoors
  • duty
  • Daily use

Great pants

by Mikke, from Sweden, SWEDEN Written on January 29, 2015
I have at least 3 pairs of this pant, bought my first pair several years ago and they have served me well.
They are light, not made for cold weather, but excellent for indoor use or when it's 15+ deg C outside.
If used in rain they do get wet, but they dry fast.
Judging from my previous pairs I would say that they wear better then the 5.11 cotton pants, and doesn't loose color as easy.
I also really like the pockets setup....
Pros:
  • Pockets, material
Cons:
  • Not for cold weather

5.11 Tactical Stryke Pants

by Brian, from United States, IN Written on January 25, 2015
These are great pants. The sizing is accurate and they fit well - very comfortable. Lots of pockets to hold everything I may need at any time. The pocket for the knee pad is a great benefit - the knee pad stays in place and adds to the overall comfort and utility of the pants. The material seems like it will hold up well and will allow me to get years of use out of these pants....

5.11 Stryke Pants FTW

by Jesse Tischauser, from United States, OK Written on December 24, 2014
I have been wearing a couple of pairs of the 5.11 Stryke pants for about a year. I had them in rotation with the new 5.11 Traverse pant. The Stryke is an upgrade of the old standby 5.11 rips top with their two way stretch material and waste band with an elastic strap in it. These pants allow you to get comfortably in and out of any position at work, in the field or on the range. I shoot 3-gun on the 3-Gun Nation Pro Series and they are great for all the awkward shooting positions and running and gunning we do. I prefer these over the traversepant because they are a little more durable. The traverse are almost like a tactical yoga pant. Traverse are great around the house or in a run but the material is soft and fm gas four way stretch so it's not as rugged....
Pros:
  • Durability
  • Ruggedness
  • stylish design
  • comfortable,
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • Law Enforcement
  • Tactical
  • Military
  • Competition Shooting

Stryke Pant

by Col Flag, from United States, IL Written on December 23, 2014
I bought two pair of these stryke pants and they have got to be the most comfortable tactical pants I have ever had. Great quality and the price was about about $20.00 less than everywhere else! I guess i have to write a little more to get my 200 character minimum in. I didn't realize that when I started, or i probably would not have done the review in the first place. OP should just be thankful someone is taking time out of their day to post a review, period. Regardless of the length. Ok, I am done. I still like the product....

5.11 Tactical Stryke Pants.

by Jarhead, from United States, TX Written on December 17, 2014
These may be the most comfortable pants I've ever owned. I first tried on the 5.11 taclite pro pants, they didn't fit well. Stryke pants are cut very differently and the fit was perfect. The sizing was spot on. These pants come out of the dryer ready to go. No ironing necessary. I bought three pairs at first. I'll definitely buy more. Highly recommend!!...
