It is a very thin case with little room for expansion. The external pockets don't leave room to carry much at all. I had to get extra velcro ties for the loose gun barrels. Not much else will fit in the bag so I am still using my range bag for ear and eye protection and ammo. It's just ok for a basic range bag. I will be upgrading soon though.

I love this case! I own 2 of them, the 42" case for my long guns and the 36" case for my ARs. When I first got my 42" case, they even had a free mag pouch promotion so I got a free double AR mag pouch that I've since put on my 36" case. There are 4 beds of MOLLE strips (1 on either side of the side pocket, and 2 inside the pocket). The interior rifle compartments are also lined and come with 4 velcro straps on each side for lashing your weapon to the MOLLE bed. The straps can be cut to the proper length as well. The double cases also come with a removable padded shoulder strap, compression straps, and adjustable padded backpack straps. Unfortunately, the backpack straps are not removable. Overall, easily the best soft double rifle case I've come across.

Albeit a pain to set up at first, once you put them in the right places, the straps hold your gear well. Lots of pockets for all your goodies. I carry a Ruger 10/22 with mags, AR-15 with multiple mags, XD40 with mags, hearing, eye protection, targets and more. Wish it had a proper zipper locking mechanism for safe and legal transportation. The best I can do is put a small lock through the fiber loops connected to the zippers, which obviously, can be easily cut with anything sharp.
