Pros:  The laser is good for teasing wife's cat.
Cons:  Useless. I have tried it at all hours. Ineffective.

I was greatly disappointed in this product. If you are very careful you can detect a large dog 20 feet away from you. Deer over 25 feet are pretty much invisible even if in the open. I now only use it as a laser pointer to tease the wife's cat. The infrared light does work AS A POINTER if you are using night vision.
