Pros: Improved design
Cons: None
Would recommend: yes

The newer Aimpoint design is superior to the older Butler Creek design because the open lens covers lay flatter and do not stick straight up. The rear cover installs very easily on the older model CompM as opposed to being a tighter fit on the newer models.
Does not fit CompM

Pros: Tight fit.
Cons: Hard to get on.

This flip-up lens cover fits tightly on the ocular end of the COMP M4 and flips out of the way instantly. I had to file a little material off so they would open fully, but that's to be expected. These are as tough as the scopes they're made for.
excellent solution

These flip-up lens covers are exactly the right fit for my COMP M4. They are a little hard to get on, but once they're on, they aren't coming off unless you want them to. They deploy quickly and are out of the way in an instant. I had to file a little extra material off to get them to open fully, but that's to be expected. I haven't had any dust, dirt, or other debris get inside since I put these on, and best of all, they don't require removal of the "killflash" to install.
