Best Red Dot Period

by T.Defense, from United States, WV Written on February 6, 2015
If you want the best red dot get an Aimpoint. Say what you will but they are battle proven, simple, smart and just plain works and works all the time. Battery life and field of vines is what sets it a part and that's a big deal. I've tried them all and this is the best. Yes they are expensive for a non-magnification optic but good things come with a price. if you actually use your rifle or pistol get one you won't be sorry. If you like to look at your gun and not really use it other than to bring it out of the safe to show it to a friend then save your money....

Aimpoint Micro H-1

by maierar, from United States, NY Written on February 3, 2015
As good as i gets! small, light, durable, and easy to adjust. While it might be overkill on a .22, less expensive red dots are not reliable on larger caliber applications.
A bit pricey, and really, they could print an instruction sheet and not gone broke, but it is a first rate sight....

Fantastic sight, but the dot on my Aimpoint PRO is crisper

by Huch, from United States, CA Written on January 1, 2015
The title line pretty much sums it up. This is a fantastic sight with small size, ridiculous durability and amazing battery life. My only con for it (other than the price) is that the dot has a bit of a "smear" look to it (almost like a little red comet). I've heard other people voice the same complaint and the usual response is "you must have astigmatism in you eye that makes it look that way." My reply is that a) I don't have astigmatism, and b) The dot on my Aimpoint PRO does not look like this and it uses the same LED mechanism as the Micro. When the dot on my PRO is turned up it does start to bloom like the Micro, but when I dial it down to do precision shooting (either as is or using a 3X magnifier) it is a very crisp circle, almost like an EOTech. That being said, even with the slight smear to it, the dot on the H-2 is small and precise. I have a few Primary Arms Micro Dots (PA's Micro clone) and while they are great sights -especially for $89- the dot is about twice as big as the H-1's and the blooming is worse. That's why I still give this sight 5 stars; yes the dot blooms a bit, but compared to the other options it's still precise. It's expensive, but you will definitely have it for the rest of your life so it's cheap in the long run. Plus if you want to sell it, they hold their value pretty well and you can get $400 for it if it's in decent condition. If you add a KAC battery cover that holds a spear battery you can go for 10 years before you need to worry about fi...

Aimpoint is a great product.

by Wilrocku, from United States, NY Written on December 12, 2014
It's a great product. I mounted this on my sig sauer x5 and actually won my first shooting contest. placed 1st and scored in the expert level shooting group. The scope held its zero with two hundred rounds that day which is great. I think with a lot of other buyers including myself over the years the price of these optics has become the issue. Is it worth the extra money for a trijicon RMR ,aimpoint H1 or Eotech 553 I would say yes! Just don't keep raising the prices on these things every year it makes it hard to own more than one....

Great Sight.

Love it. All you need in a red dot sight. Only change would be to design functional lens caps instead of the bikini cover.
Pros: Compact, very light and easy to use
Cons: Bikini lens cover...

I bought the Aimpoint H-1 2MOA for my FNH PS90. I have two other Aimpoint products also. This optic is easy to install / setup. The quality plus lifetime warranty are just a couple of many excellent features. Go ahead - spend the money!

A small red dot sight of ultimate quality

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CA Written on July 9, 2012
I have one of these H-1 red dot sights mounted on my Ruger Mark III Hunter pistol. It holds zero beautifully and really improves my accuracy. This small sight is just as good as the larger Aimpoints and does everything just as well. You pay for the smaller size but for a pistol it is worth it.
Pros: Very small and light; easy to set up and zero
Cons: Not cheap. ...

Aimpoint Micro H-1 2 MOA None Better

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, AZ Written on May 1, 2012
Had the Micro T-1 4 MOA mounted on an AK Ultimak. Dot (including halo) was too large for me. When I read about the new (actually over a year old, being used by specops for a year now)2MOA, I wanted it. This is the perfect red dot sight, tiny, weighs nothing, virtually indestructible and runs for 5 years on one battery. No worries about turning it on in a panic. Red dot is precise, no real halo like 4MOA, easier to hit targets past 100M and visible in the Arizona blast furnace brightness. Slightly expensive, but absolutel top of the line.
Pros: Tiny, light, 5 years run time, 2MOA dot, precise
Cons: Slightly overpriced...
