Aimpoint Pro Patrol Rifle Optic Red Dot Riflescope - 30mm

by Sim, from United States, CA Written on December 24, 2014
Price was right for a top quality product. Optic returns to zero every time it is installed on the rifle. Durable and takes a beating for a lower price point. Not worry about batteries, water, and night vision is a bonus. Have nothing but good things to say about Aimpoint and the service provided from Opticsplanet.com :)...

Excellent Value, Outstanding optic.

by joshtur85, from United States, TX Written on December 23, 2014
I purchased this optic recently and received a very nice price from Opticsplanet.com. It comes mounted and nearly ready to rock out of the box. It is an absolute co-whitness on my AR platform and should be with most being that the mount it comes with has a spacer you, may or may not wish to remove depending on your platform. Zeroing this optic was standard and simple. I just set the dot on top of my irons and took it to the range. At the range I put nearly 750 rounds on target, the zero never wavered even through a couple couple quick running to prone transitions.I even threw my rifle to the ground a few times just to make sure. For the money you can't go wrong....

Don't go cheap get this optic

by Edswany, from United States, VT Written on December 22, 2014
I had purchased a $100 red dot before I bought this. I was shooting inconsistent to say the least.
I always wanted the Aimpoint PRO and got a great deal on Black Friday. Mounted it the AR
and went to the range. Out of the box I only made a few adjustments to get sighted in. After that
I destroyed the center ring at 50 yds. Same range with cheap optic I was shooting 6" groups.
Lesson learned save your pennies and buy quality....

Excellent Optic

by macdaddy, from United States, MA Written on December 22, 2014
Durable, solid optic that won't disappoint. Well worth the money and won't break the bank. The fact that you can't over tighten the picatinny rail mount is another great feature. The optic will coexist with your iron sights and is parallax free. Again, for the average shooter to the more advanced shooter, you can't go wrong...

great sight, easy installation

by Josh, from United States, NV Written on December 3, 2014
Installed the sight on a Ambush arms 5.56 for deer hunting season. Instalation was fairly easy. The quick disconect system works well. I am left handed and wish it was an ambi but, it's hard to find setups like that so I won't count it against them. Zeroing took 9 shots. I wish the sight had .25min adjustments but at this price point I guess .5min is as accurate as you will get. Once installed, the sight worked great. Lots of dimming levels and battery life held all season with no failures. Very accurate out to 250 yards (as far as I tested). I took two deer this year with it and both were clean. Very little to no parallax issues and great tracking on a moving targets.

At the price point I have not used a better red dot sight....
Pros:
  • Pricing against other options
  • Light weight, compact size, clean dot, rugged
  • accurate,holds zero,crisp clear image
Cons:
  • adjustments could be finer
  • no ambi disconect
Best Used for:
  • hunting, range shooting
