Aimpoint PRO

by Imperial, from United States, CA Written on August 20, 2014
Neither cheap in price or quality but definitely an excellent value when you consider all that you're getting with this package... Aimpoint quality and reliability with the added bonus of a factory installed mount....

Seems to be a great product.

by TR1, from United States, SC Written on August 18, 2014
Only had it for a week, so I can't speak to long term use or the battery life. It appears to be a typical quality Aimpoint product. Night Vision compatible, flip up covers, and mount, all for a great price. If I need another holographic sight, I will definitely buy another Aimpoint Pro. Only gave four stars, since I have not used extensively or tested battery life....

Quality Red Dot Site

by ShtBrd, from United States, FL Written on August 17, 2014
I have had this optic for a little over a month and have about 4 trips to the range with this optic. I have it currently mounted on my Ak-47 with 11" barrel. The install was flawless as it comes with everything you need to mount on a picatinny rail and has adjustable spacer so you can get optimal height for your set-up. Taking the optic on and off the gun is very convenient with the positive torque mechanism and still holds zero after taking on and off. Siting in was straight forward and a breeze. The 2 MOA dot is very crisp and not overly sized as some red dots are. It has a great range of intensities for daytime shooting, I have not used the NV setting. The flip up lenses are a great addition and are of descent quality. I have shot the optic out to 115 yds (limited by range) and the optic has been awesome and fun to shoot. I feel like I would not have any problems going out further to 200 yds. I will just have to make the trip to the longer yard range to find out. Last but not least, the optic looks great atop the gun. IF you are in the market for a mid price red dot, you will not be disappointed by this one as you get a great shooting optic & a ton of features for the price. I just have not found anything bad to say about it....

wonder if new or refurb

by newbuy, from United States, NC Written on August 12, 2014
got my scope today however I wonder if it is used , return or refurb as there are gouges scratches on casing , battery already installed, fingerprints on front flip cover, and missing the thicker Multilanguage manual. I emailed them today hope they reply and will most likely call them tomorrow to see their answer. if it is a used, return or refurb that is just too much hassle as they advertised as new and refunds usually happen slow in general will keep you all updated.

however if the scope was like new I would like it and it is lighter than I thought it would be. If I got a new product I would have liked it, and would recommend it if you got a brand new one. Again will keep you all posted on what happens...

My first Red Dot Sight.....

by William Erdmann, from United States, FL Written on August 3, 2014
I recently purchased the Aimpoint PRO Red Dot Sight. Since it is my first red dot sight I was a little ambivalent
to purchase this expensive piece of optics. It arrived in about a week, and I am very content with it.
It is mounted on a Bushmaster AR15 and sighting it in was a breeze with the laser beam at a
25 to 50 yards distance. I am amazed how easy it is to lay down fire very accurately with both eyes open.
I highly recommend this optics for anyone who hunts or target shoot. Great purchase!...
Pros:
  • QUALITY OPTIC
  • Sturdy Built
Cons:
  • Lower intensity settings don't show up as a red dot..
  • Cover is expensive and rips easily
Best Used for:
  • hunting and shooting

Excellent Red Dot

by FAS, from United States, AL Written on July 30, 2014
This is my first red dot sight, so I didn't know what to expect. It was everything I had hoped for and more. It was easy to install, easy to sight in, and works great. Very fast target acquistion. I've used it only up to 100 yards, but am shooting better than I ever did with iron sights....
Pros:
  • Excellent quality and value
Cons:
  • none yet

Aimpoint Pro..not for Pros

by WSP, from United States, AZ Written on July 30, 2014
The sight sits high, about the correct height for an AR,built in base and mount. it has approx. 9-10 settings. The problems is that the first 7-8 settings are useless. Supposedly for night use...well, not really...so you are left with three settings that are useful. You also have the "tunnel" affect looking through the tube, and you need to practice with both eyes open etc. It is a well made product other than the poor settings, but...get an EO Tech...they are lower, faster, easier to sight through and work much better. I have an EO Tech and I would trade this Aimpoint in a heartbeat for another one....

Built very well

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on June 23, 2014
works great, holds a zero. Just purchased my second one. Only thing that I could say is that the dot is not a round dot. Looks more like laser cuts on glass. The "dot" is a different shape on each sight.
Pros: easy to set up and rugged
Cons: the dot is not exactly a dot...

Wow, what else can I say?

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on June 15, 2014
What a great addition to my Spikes Tactical SP-15. Mounted it, co-witnessed it with my iron sights and off to the range. Got it dialed in with only 10 rounds then playtime all morning. You won't be disappointed with the Aimpoint PRO, great buy for the dollar from Optics Planet, THANKS!!!
Pros: Easy to mount, easy to sight in, dead on!
Cons: haven't found one yet....

Awesome Sight!

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, TN Written on May 5, 2014
I have been shopping around for optics for my AR for several months now. I was leaning toward a cheaper optic but several of my fellow army buddies and SWAT buds sueded me into holding off until I had the money to buy a quality sight. So I held off and saved little more and bough the aimpoint. It is totally worth the money or I wouldn't go through the trouble to leave a review!
Pros: Extremely well built/rugged.
Cons: None..mayb...
