On Tthe Mark

by Only The Truth, from United States, FL Written on January 20, 2015
The Patrol Red Dot is accurate, tough and cost effective.
You never turn it off as the battery will work for years.
This is a great advantage as you are always ready for the next shot.
There is a clear lens cover that allows a shot without stopping to lift or remove it.
Great for CQB, hunting or target shooting....

Amazing Optic

by Ryan, from United States, TX Written on January 19, 2015
The Aimpoint PRO is a great optic. It is easy to tell how well made it is just by holding it and looking through the lenses. The red dot can smear if you have the brightness up high in low-light, but this happens with almost every optic. The mount that it comes is very sturdy with or without the spacer. I especially love the knob which prevents you from over tightening....
Pros:
  • battery life
  • Build quality
  • Priced well.
  • Extremely Clear Glass
Cons:
  • none!
Best Used for:
  • sport shooting
  • Law Enforcement
  • Military
  • Hunting, shooting

Aimpoint Pro

Fast service, ordered it on a Wed and was delivered on a Friday. No special shipping.
1) easy to mount on Colt M4, took under a minute.
2) easy target acquisition, close an eye or leave both open for room clearing.
3) like the rear cover, you can leave it down.
4) pretty much idiot proof to zero, adjustment areas are covered so I wouldn't think bumping it would be a problem.
When you put it on the highest setting, the dot tends to blur some. Also, as you turn it on I would think the dot would show up sooner than it does after you keep turning. Overall I like it and would recommend it...

Outstanding product!

by Justin, from United States, MO Written on January 19, 2015
It's an aimpoint....what more can I say?

It includes the mount and lens flip covers which simply increases its value that much more...all the quality and performance from the aimpoint brand that you're looking for, but at a more affordable, realistic price. Amazing red dot...

It works excellent but too expensive!!!

by Hunters, from United States, CA Written on January 16, 2015
This Aimpoint pro works excellent so far for me. It's already passed about 3800 rounds of 5.56; it still work like a champ... Nothing so special it just red dot, I wonder why it so expensive.
I'm very satisfy with this red dot but I'm so disappointed with shipment; it took more than half of a month to receive my red dot. I called customer service and checked my bank ac#; it show that they took money out on the day after I ordered, but they shipped four day later. However, I ordered flashlight from China in the same day as I order my Aimpoint pro, but I received my flashlight on the day 12 after I ordered it. Anyway, I got very good deal on this Aimpoint; I think I got it for only $385 something..
I want to buy a scope for my ar but shipment takes forever, so I'm going to look for another website; hope I find a good one with right price.

If you guys have any good website with right price please share

Thanks

Aimpoint PRO

by Six point eight, from United States, TX Written on January 14, 2015
Excellent optic. Easy to use. Easy/quick to get sighted in. Difficult to see if using bright orange target centers for sighting in. Rugged optic is the perfect choice for a zombie neutralizer. Great price from Optics Planet sealed the deal....

great optic

by run and gun, from United States, MI Written on January 8, 2015
These sights have been proven time and time again by military and law enforcement. This is the best scope for the money. Was going to buy a trijicon but I can buy 2 of these and two magnifiers for the price of 1 trijicon. Could not ask for a better company to buy from. Very professional. Will never buy optics anywhere else. And they are always competitive on prices...

Aimpoint Pro

by Cj, from United States, KY Written on January 8, 2015
I was trying to decide between the aimpoint pro and eotech 512 after looking through a eotech 512 the 65 moa outer ring seemed grainy and distracting in my opinion, so I decided to go with the aimpoint pro and couldn't be happier. The dot is crisp and precise with plenty of brightness settings for even the brightest snow covered days . It did take me a minute to get used to the both eyes open concept and focusing my eyes since this was my first red dot optic but now it seems like second nature great optic....
Pros:
  • Rugged and reliable
  • crisp reticle
  • Lens Caps
Cons:
  • None yet!
Best Used for:
  • hunting, range shooting
  • Home defense, LEO/Military use

Red Dot Sight

by Logan, from United States, CA Written on January 7, 2015
Easy to mount on my rail. Sighted it in and with a few adjustments it was dead on. Definitely save up your allowance and buy a good quality optic. If you shop on Optics Planet keep an eye out for internet specials. I don't think I can say how much I saved, but I did not pay full price. I will be shopping on Optics Planet more often....

Patrol Rifle Optic by Aimpoint

by Rocichet Rabbit, from United States, FL Written on January 7, 2015
I am a fan of Aimpoint. I have several T-1 Micro's and the Comp M4. The Patrol Rifle Optic is in the middle. Lets start with the dislikes: The lens covers suck, they are in the way and the rear one will scratch itself on the elevation adjustment cap. The battery this optic uses is weird and hard to find at the local store.

Solutions: Take the lens caps off. The battery is said to be good for several years so worry about that later.
It's not a Comp M4 but its also $300 cheaper. I put this optic on a Colt 6920. It does every I expected. One hundred yards groups, from a benchrest all in a skoal can is possible. Practice keeping both eyes open. I think it is a good optic for less than 150 yards. I guess that is what a patrol rifle was designed for....
Pros:
  • Duriblity
Cons:
  • None
