nice light

by buddha, from United States, TX Written on November 17, 2014
The flashlight very bright. The pressure switch takes a little getting use to. If you don't want to use the pressure switch cross your fingers.. the threads on the cap were stripped out. Didn't bother me sense I was planning on using the pressure switch but it would of been a nice option if I can get my mind later...

easily damaged

It worked great for several years. Bought two, both with button switch. One button switch failed. Dropped light once, after that it only had less than standard flashlight beam. Contact w manufacture did NOT get response....

DEAD DOG

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on July 19, 2013
MOUNTED, SET UP, READY TO GO. NEXT TIME I GOT IT OUT, IT WAS DEAD. BATTERIES ARE OK, PUT IN NEW ONES, FLASHLIGHT WON'T WORK. NEVER GOT TO FIRE WEAPON.
Cons: RELIABILITY...

Not quite there!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on March 5, 2013
A durable, solid compact flashlight definetely suitable for weapon mounting and realistically priced. It has one major con: The advertized 850 lumens are based on LED manufacturer's standards and thus NOT comparable with modern FL1 standards with which all modern flashlights of this kind should be measured with( so, caution here!!) I compared Aimshot 850 with Olight M-21x (600 lum)and the difference was very noticeable in Olight's favor..
But if tactical use is your main goal, it is hard to find a more durable and recoil-proof compact flashlight at this price. Expect to get a true 200-250 lumens (by FL1 standards) which is more than enough light for tactical use but definetely you won't even get near the wobbing 850 number for strictly conventional use, as is the case with me..
Pros: Durable solid construction
Cons: Misleading power rating...

mounting of unit

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, MO Written on January 20, 2013
The mounting bracket that comes with the flashlight is handy fashioned well.
However, there are 3 screws that need to be tightened when mounting the light to a rail. There are cautions on the package but if you tighten the center screw just a little to much, it will cause the light to malfunction. As a matter of fact it will not work at all.
It took me adjusting the screw several times before I got it set just right. Aimshot should add some wording about this on their package.
Pros: plenty of lumens
Cons: use caution...

H H Lockhart

I've owned other rifle mount flashlights but none as bright as this little light. I am very impressed not only with it's brightness but it is well constructed. It easily cast a beam out 60 yds. on my test distance. Worth the purchase....

Saiga 223

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CA Written on December 27, 2011
By far the brightest LED light I have owned, illuminates the side of a house at 100 Yards. Would blind someone for sure at close range. The only thing I have an issue with is the mount.
It requires an Allen wrench to remove the light, and the first time I put the light into the mount I broke the rubber seal around the rear switch.(two more are included). Wondering if the battery life claim is true, like the diff modes great for rifles.
Pros: very bright, good value
Cons: Need an allen wrench to remove light from rail mount...

I put on my sa93 and cetme for recoil test love it at 75 yards you can blind someone with the strobe mode
At 100 yards on high mode I love it so bright that you will temporary blind someone if you point at someone

Pros: Ten time good or better than the name brand
Cons: Nothing yet...
