Great Scout Rifle Scope

by From the high desert, from United States, AZ Written on August 29, 2014
I used this scope on my Marlin 336W with a Weaver scout scope mount. Excellent clarity for two eye open snap shooting in both minimum and maximum magnification. Using the reticule lighting I was able to bore sight the rifle easily at an extended distance after dark! Very cool... I am considering doing a second scout rifle in 45-70. If so, I will be buying another of these scopes....

great scout mount scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on September 17, 2013
I mounted this scope on a Yugo 24/47 Mauser 8mm rifle. The clarity was surprisingly good for a relatively inexpensive scope. I will take it to the range this week, and see how it hold up. Would recommend for a scout mount configuration.
Pros: Good scope for the money...

Inexpensive, but great for the money

I have this mounted on a solid rail replacing the rear mount on a Mosin Nagant. Holds zero well. Lighted reticle is a nice feature (red and green, I think 5 or 6 brightness settings). Sight picture is good quality for such an inexpensive scope. Putting a Weaver or Leupold on a hundred dollar rifle just didn't make sense. My only regret is that I was not aware of the 2-7X42 with either rangefinder or mil-dot reticles, I would have bought one of them instead. Lesson learned. I'll buy the other one anyway. I am well pleased with this scope and would recommend it although if I had spend 800-1200 dollars on a rifle I'd probably have bought a Weaver or Leupold, maybe not though since neither have mil-dot or range estimating reticles.
Pros: Illumination in 2 colors, extended relief, clear optics, shoot with both eyes open.
Cons: Reticle a bit fuzzy, hard to judge distance through scope....
