Ordered this for my nagant thinking it would be a decent reproduction. It's about 10 bucks cheaper than a real Russian surplus sling, and I believed the price difference was relating to the availability of Russian surplus slings.
I was wrong.
The webbing is very rough compared to the real slings, which is expected as they are new and you can expect it to soften with some wear, but there is no excuse for the leather which is used.
Its very cheap leather and cracks/flakes easily on the underside. I also had some trouble getting it though the sling holes as its very thick and wide which causes more cracking and some of the leather to get shaved off.
The leather straps are also pretty short so the metal parts will dig into your stock unless you have a model with metal bracers covering the sling holes.
They also use very cheap and thin rubbery material to hold the excess strap down after tightening which doesn't hold very well so the excess keeps popping out and getting caught on things. It might work better if you have a nagant with swivel sling attachments, but I wouldn't count on it.
Bottom line is you get what you paid for and I would recommend getting a real surplus sling as the metals and leather used are much greater quality and worth the little extra you will pay.
