Love the new Warhammer for my 870. You have to assemble it loose on the gun and get all of the screws started first before final tightening. Use Loctite blue for the assembly. Fits my 18 1/2" 870 like a glove. Puts my combo tac light and laser at the tip of my right thumb for actuation. Heat shield keeps me from burning my hand during extended 3 gun shoots. Paired with the Blackhawk Knoxx Specops Gen II stock with the Powerpack (high cheekpiece) enables a good cheek weld and correct alignment with my holographic sight. Plus it really makes the Remmy look plenty mean!! Love it.

over all i like the product. It has room for more than one accessory. The only down side is that it makes the weapon much harder to clean. ** I placed an order for two of them. Optics planet only had one in stock, after a Month I gave up on ever getting the second one that would be My only complaint and that's not against the mount.

Aimtech Warhammer for Remington 870 tactical review. I purchased the Warhammer through www.opticsplanet.com and it cost 82.00 with shipping included. Prior to me choosing the optics planet retail site I looked through other websites and with optics planet it was the cheapest in terms of price and shipping; which was free. All other sites wanted between 95-100 dollars so optics planet is the best choice. Contents in the box contained Warhammer tactical shotgun rail 2 black C shaped barrel clamps. 2 trigger pin screws along with the hex keys. 4 small screws with hex keys included. 1 instruction manual with additional attachment information regarding attaching accessories. Introduction: Since I have wanted a rail for my shotgun to attach a red dot I started looking for a few weeks and did my research. Most companies recommended that I should either buy a strip mount base and drill and tap the body or buy a mount that attached itself using the trigger pins like a side ...

It has a 20 1/2" top rail and two 5" rails at 45 degree angles. It actually weighs a lot less than I thought it was going to and it was easy to install. It has a flat black finish whereas the 870 is more of a dark grey. Having said that, it doesn't quite match the finish of the 870 if that matters to you but I think it looks great just the way it is. For what you pay and what it allows you to do, this is a fantastic piece of equipment. I mounted Magpul sights onto it and I absolutely love it! Use a Mesa Tactical low tube or high tube adapter (I use the high tube) and you CAN use shell carriers with this. Mesa makes adapter mount sureshells and I have two of them along with the Warhammer on my 870.
