Nice little Red Dot scope with absolutely no customer service from Armasight.

by canuck, from United States, FL Written on December 9, 2014
Please note that Optic Planet has great customer service. Any negatives are directed to the non existent Armasight customer service.
This is a nice solid little red dot scope that will co witness with any standard front and rear sights. It has two reticules, a dot and a circle. The dot is not very clear and the circle is fine. The cover with the sun screen cracked and the lens fell out after two day sessions on a bench at the range. The back up cover is hard to remove and would be easily lost in the field. A cover is needed because this unit uses a diode to sense light to adjust the dots to the correct light conditions, and is not suposed to be exposed all the time to save battery life. Every body likes the look of this scope and I am satisfied with its performance, but I consider it a one shot deal as there is no manufacturers service.
I went to the Armasight web site (very impressive looking, but thats all) and tried to call the phone numbers listed, but the customer service number was no good after several tries on several days, and the main number was a recording on several calls after several days. I emailed on several occasions and received no response. This scope has sold on some sites for over $400 and now here for much less. Something tells me things are not right at Armasight, and I am glad I am not looking for service on one of their very expensive high dollar night vision units....

Great Product!

This is one awesome product. I've looked for a mini scope like this for a long time. I've wanted to buy others like Burris, Leupold, Eotect, Aimpoint. But never could lay down my money for them. I read all there reviews. Just couldn't decide, because it didn't seem to fit what i needed. Then this product came out. It didn't have any reviews, but i liked the product because it had something that no other mini sight had. That's 2 radicals. The Dot, Plus a Circle. you can change it to whatever you want to use. Just a push of a button, and 2 brightness settings. When i got it. I tried it out. It worked awesome. Nice and compact. Comes with a protector cover, a sun cover you can flip down when it's to bright. Plus a nice Armasight pouch. I love it. And i defiantly recommend it to anyone. It's exactly what i wanted!...

Worth the money

Although I have only had this item for a few weeks now, it seems to be holding up well. Setup was simple and sighted in very quickly. This is on an AR platform flattop. It co-exists with the flip up sights well. Extremely light weight and uses very little rail space. Time will tell if the removable cover/sun shade will hold up but so far its been no problem The feature is great. Well made and has already passed a few of the "tests" when it was accidently dropped. After using the T-1, I have no complaints with this one. Just as good for less $$.
Pros: Small, lightweight, clear, dual reticle,
Cons: none so far...

Best red-dot sight I've had so far!

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on December 10, 2012
This small red-dot sight is loaded with lots of great features. It is very compact and lightweight yet the housing looks solid. According to the manufacturer the MCS supposed to be water and shockproof. I havent really tested it this way, but it does look fully mil-spec. Great thing is that it comes with some additional accessories like bright light filter and different covers. There are standard and night vision modes which is perfect for me. I have a night vision monocular that I use sometimes as rifle scope and with this thing I can safely project the dot reticle not thinking about damaging the tube of my night vision unit. Overall this is very nice product....
