Most Helpful Positive Review Armasight Nemesis 6x
This is an excellent scope for the cost. I mounted mine on a Savage model 10 chambered in .223, and it shoots groups the size of a quarter at 100 yard...

Gen 2+ deal

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on May 7, 2014
I am amazed at how much scope you get for the money. This scope is Gen 2+, works great on an AR-15 for night hunts.

Half the price of a Gen 3 scope with more then enough capabilities for hunting. You can't go wrong.

I would rather buy 2 of these then 1 Gen 3 scope....

Armasight Nemesis 6+ ID

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on January 5, 2014
I recently bought the Armasight Nemesis 6+ ID 2nd gen riflescope. I received an email from Optics Planet for the 2013 Christmas specials with 10% off everything, free shipping and returns. So I was looking at there web site and I saw the Armasight Nemesis 6+ ID 2nd gen scope was on sale. Since I have a thing for nightvision, I looked further and saw the price was to low to show, so I added the scope to my cart to see the price. The scope was on special for $1459.00 plus an additional 10% and free shipping.
I bought the scope for $1304.00 and free shipping. The thing that intrigued me the most was the large front objective. I have a lot of experience with nightvision and I currently own six nightvision scopes. I have found that the larger the front objective the better the resolution and light gain. I would rather carry an extra pound or two for the increased range of the scope. After all what good is a small scope if you can not see what you need to see, when you want to see it, or need to see it before it sees you?

When the scope arrived, I was impressed with the 80mm front objective. The scope is large for the newer nightvision. But from what I have scene the manufactures are trying to make the nightvision scopes small at a trade off in performance. This is not the case with the Armasight Nemesis 6+ ID 2nd gen. I had to try the scope in the daytime because I wanted to see how good it was. I turned on the scope with the day cover on and was impressed with the...

This is an excellent scope for the cost. I mounted mine on a Savage model 10 chambered in .223, and it shoots groups the size of a quarter at 100 yards. The scope's design makes it easy to turn on and off, and has three rails to mount IR lights/lasers/whatever. With a good IR light, like a Streamlight Super Tac IR, the scope can see clearly out about 500 yards on a starry moonless night. The included IR light is okay at short ranges, but the Streamlight really extends the usable range.
The included "remote cord" would also be really neat on an AR platform rifle. It's simple enough to hook up to the scope, has a few inches of cord length, and hook-and-loop (Generic velcro, I'm guessing) fasteners to secure it to a weapon easily. I tested it's functionality, and it worked okay. I couldn't find a way to mount it to my bolt-action gun, so I put it back in the box. If you want this scope on an AR, the remote seems like a really nice way of turning it on and off without taking your hands off the grips.
Oh, and batteries are included. 2 generic CR123A style batteries. One for the scope, and one for the included IR illuminator. I've only used the scope for about three hours, so I can't tell how long they last. The scope has an advertised battery life of 60 hours according to the manual.
One of the things I don't like are the turrets. They work, and can be adjusted, but are small and my winter hunting gloves just slide around on them. I'd like it if it came standard with large "tac...

Great Scope for a Gen 2

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TX Written on January 31, 2013
Great Gen 2 Scope, nice features easy to use. Just a little big and bulky, but i like how it looks and works great. It would be excellent on a rifle 7mm and up.
Pros: Great visibility, easy to use
Cons: big, bulky, and on the heavy side...

Great impression

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on December 26, 2012
I got Nemesis 6x SD version as my Christmas gift and very happy, as due to the holidays I didn't expect it to be delivered on time! This is the great device, five stars! By using it I feel like a real professional as I've never had the night vision scope of such a great quality with the full package of necessary features and functions. Of course I didn't have enough time to put Nemesis through the wringer but I'm sure my future experience won't spoil the first impression so I would surely recommend Nemesis 6x! ...

Used for hunting

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on December 11, 2012
Balance of the good price and good product. On that basis when used for hunting, I recommend this device. It took about half an hour to learn how to use it in a dark landscape area. You could hit the coyote at 100 yds. When you re out at night you only have to turn the device on to start. I would like to say that Im by no means an expert in night vision, but its not my first shooting.
Im very pleased with the performance of it especially for the price. Lastly dont let your friends know you have it for some reason they dont want to give it back!)

Nemesis 6x

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on December 5, 2012
I ordered Nemesis 6x as one of my friends has been hunting with it for about 3 months and recommended me this night vision scope. At first I had some doubts concerning its weight as I was afraid it would unbalance my rifle, that is not acceptable for the scopes. But the housing is perfectly developed, so the most of my hits are exact. If the weather is good I can shoot for game at 170-200 meters that is a great result! Now I would recommend Nemesis 6x!...
