I ordered these same as all, wanting to get into NV cheap and easy. I live on a farm in the midwest, and wanted to be able to see how many coyotes were getting how close to the house. This works great. The headset was easy to setup and use and I was very happy with both the brightness of the monocle and the range of sight.
The only gripe I have about it is the attached IR is too close to the monocle, and shares a power switch with the NV. If you are behind cover and cycle your NV off, you need to make sure to close your eye to avoid the momentary flash of IR.
I used an Armasight mount adapter and mounted mine to my AR. Paired with a LaserMax Uni-IR site and a Sightmark IR-805 Compact Infrared Illuminator, and I get a great range of sight (~80/100 yards).
Overall, this allowed me to get a nightvision setup that can be attached to multiple guns in a matter of minutes and reaches out to where I need it for home protection at under $525. I've been very happy.
Pros: Good resolution, easy to adjust, excellent light absorbtion
Cons: Attached IR shows red, is mounted too close to the monocle, and no detachable, Both share the same power switch meaning IR must be cycled each time. Can hurt your eye when you are close to something.
