I can tell you that the result of my order has been considerably less than 230 lumens. As I've been using flashlights for 30 years, including a few years of military and of law enforcement use, I'd say that I'm fairly well versed in flashlights. As a matter of fact, this flashlight was purchased with the intention to use it during shallow undercover operations, patrolling an area on foot in regular clothes. But I'm still carrying my SureFire E2D Defender. In short, I think you will be dissatisfied if you purchase this product.
