Well, this sight was not any better than the ultra sight. In fact, it was worse. We went out with 2 AR-15's and a Ruger .22 pistol. We put the sight on the .22 and it briefly did OK. After about 30 shots the sight started shutting down with almost every shot. When it did not shut down it randomly changed the reticle. I tried adjusting the battery springs as ATN advised me to do on my ultra sight but that did not help(just like on the ultra sight). We switched to the AR and the sight shut down with every shot or pull of the charging handle. Also, on the AR, the sight could not hold zero for more than 10-15 shots. I told my friend good luck with ATN customer service. I sent my first sight in for repair and was told it would be a 2 week turn around. After many frustrating phone calls and broken promises they had it for 10 ...

I would have given it a 5 rating for overall, but you need to order the bright light filter, as my filter is on the way and I believe that will make it a 5 all the way. I had tried everything myself, a new battery, changing the torque on the mounts, as well as the torque on the battery case cap. Nothing worked. It was always accurate regardless of what setting I had it set to or what it landed on! After I spoke with the technicians at ATN, they informed me that my problem was the spring located in the battery cap. They said that the length of that spring or the pressure it applied to the battery was insufficient. They instructed me to grab the spring and pull it to extend its length/tension on the battery itself. Once I did that, the sight has worked perfectly. I don't think this sight is a big fan of recoil. This is a true disappointment for those of us that can't afford a $500 dollar EoTech!

I bought this sight for a Performance Center 44 mag. It looked great and with multiple reticles it was just what I was looking for. I mounted the scope and went to the range. At the first shot of my handgun I knew I had a problem. The scope couldn't handle the recoil of the 44 mag. I was shooting standard 44 loads, nothing hot. With every shot the reticle would go back to the default setting and the brightness control would go to it's max setting. The scope has since been placed on a 22 pistol where it has performed wonderfully. This is not my first experience with ATN. I also own one of their Night Vision Scopes that performs flawlessly. I would not recommend this scope for a serious handgunner.
