Pros:  Simple and significantly increases range (& view) of Night Shadow (Gen 1) device
Cons:  Not sure how to compeletely turn off besides diengaging battery.

used with night scout bonoculars 5x, very well made, adjustable from wide to narrow bean and for amount of illumination. very easy to install, much brighter than the built in IR.
