Pros:  small, light, good optics
Cons:  doesn't come with a lanyard (but does have an attachment point for one)
Would recommend:  yes

i bought mine back in 99 after wanting one since seeing it, being a gadget freak and all. It's an amazing little optic - a little awkward to hold - a wire ring holder that you could attach to it would make it a lot easier to hold and use. I fashioned a custom case from a wacky noodle and electrical tape - don't ask - to keep it protected when not in use and although I don't use it often, it's still in perfect shape.

The Golden Eye is a wonder in a small package. It's easy to use and easy to carry along. I was a bit disappointed in trying to focus it however. So much hand power was required to turn the focus wheel that it was difficult to hold the Golden Eye on the target which I was trying to focus. While I did get much use in spotting with the Golden Eye, I much prefer the Brunton 7X18 Echo Pocket Scope Monocular, ECHO7018, which I would rate higher than the Golden Eye.
