This is the first pair of night binocs I have ever owned. I did not know which model/maufacture to buy. These seem to work pretty nice. I have no problem seeing out on snow about a half mile across the lake. There was no moon, just a snow cover on the lake, but I could see the other shore well enough to probably see fox or coyotes if they had been there. I did spot one 300 yards from me come off an island which did not work out too well for the coyote. I easily watched him until he was in comfortable range and down he went. One thing for certain - this stuff will wet your appetite for the next generation equipment.
