If you want a combat optic so you can swim 30 feet under water and assault an Arctic oil rig like a Navy SEAL, get an ACOG/Aimpoint/EOTech, etc. If you want a good range/hunting/airsoft sight, this one is just fine. There are other options in the same price range that are just as good. As for you airsofters, I used to play and I beat my gear pretty hard. I played for several years in some pretty harsh environments and I saw good gear stay together and bad gear fall apart. I would say that my old airsoft gear got a lot more beating and abuse than most product reviewers put their gear through. That being said, I would absolutely put this sight on my airsoft rifle.
