I used the scope for the firing range my son=in=law has set up. I plink with a .22 Mag rifle and with this scope I can see a .22 bullet hole in a standard paper target at 230 yards. Saves a whole lot of walking. I doubt it would be much good for bird watching and such, the optics just aren't that good. But its great for my purposes. I would recommend this scope for zeroing a rifle at 250 yards or less.

Works well at the range. Good up to 200 yds for target shooting. Angled eyepiece is a must (worth the few extra bucks). Came with a soft and hard case. Definitely worth the money.
Great for weekend range trips

Pros: Good optics fair price
Cons: seems to lose focus occasionally when magnifying
Would recommend: yes

I picked this up as a suggestion from some of the older shooters at the range to aid me in sighting in my rifles. For the price and the magnification I could not ask for anything better it does the job and got me where I wanted to be on the target. I only shoot for recreation and although I believe you get what you pay for when it comes to optics this was a deal for what I need it for. My only complaint is that when zooming in it seems to get blurry occasionally not much of a problem however. I do regret getting the angled scope instead of the straight however the benches at my range are higher than I thought and I have to stand to spot my shots.

I use this scope to check my target at 100 yards, no problem seeing .22 caliber holes on plain black and white paper. On max power would be nice if it was clearer, but it does great for what I use it for

I give it a 4/5 overall because the optics and features are poor in comparison to the high end Swarovski. (My brother in law has one for birding.) If you have the need to enjoy the beauty and thrill of a once in a life time sighting at 1000 yards, then don't get the Barska. But for use at the range or in the field checking out large critters, you can't beat this Barska for the price. I have not tested it in wet weather, but it is built like it could take some serious abuse. Its a no brainer for the price. Definitely recommended.

For the price you cant find a better scope. I would have spent a bit extra for a better tripod but the one that comes with it does work, I recommend spending the extra 10 bucks for the angle eyepiece. All and all this is the best scope for money you spend. I guess if you wanted to spend 3-400 you can get one thats better.

Barska 20-60x60 Blackhawk Waterproof Spotting Scope 60mm is a great value for the price. I can see .177 pellet holes in a target at 45 yards. When I used it at the rifle range .308 holes in a target at 200 yards were no problem.
