Terrible scope -- cheap and shows it

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on May 21, 2013
Don't buy it -- you will be disappointed. The low (25) magnification works, barely. Don't even think about using higher magnifications. It's hazy at best and difficult to focus. The tripod that's included is a joke.

Works, but not as well as I had hoped

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on November 2, 2012
This is a well priced spotting scope and has a high magnification. The problem is, that at the high magnifications, it's not that good. My impression is that, as with anything, you get what you pay for. For the price, this is what I would expect.
Pros: cheap, light
Cons: tripod is not useable...

Not Quality

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on June 30, 2012
Stay away from this spotting scope. Cheaply made and did not function. Internal lenses float and will not line up. Couldn't focus the scope. Worthless!
Pros: good hard case
Cons: Did not function. Internal lenses won't line up. Couldn't focus the scope. Worthless!...

Waste of money

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on March 8, 2012
This is the worst spotting scope i have owned, it has absolutely no eye relief, is extremely over priced, an fell apart when put on tripod. the whole object portion of the scope fell off the ocular end. would not recommend it.
Pros: good magnification large objective bell.
Cons: Poorly made, Cheap product, Falls apart...

Don't waste your money...

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on January 8, 2012
Anything past 25x and the focus and eye-relief become less and less effective. At 125x it does not focus and the eye relief is almost negative (your eye almost needs to touch the glass to see anything). Used at the range multiple times, anything over 100 yards at 22 cal is invisible. Maybe you could see a 50cal hole at 200 (maybe)....
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Worthless optics.......

Barska 25-125x88 Spotting Scope review

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, CA Written on November 7, 2011
The scope provides a good view out to 500 yards. Although I've seen better clarity with the $300 spotting scopes, but for under $150 and with a tripod, hard/soft case, it's a very good value. Besides, if you are shooting 500+ yards anyways, you would likely be investing in US Optics scopes and spotters for $500.
Pros: Good bang for the buck...
Cons: focus is somewhat cumbersome... Clarity could be better, but at sub $200, it does the job....

Excellent choice for the money

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on January 15, 2011
Only negative is the tripod is a little flimsy. You need to be careful not to accidentally bump the scope as it will tip over easily.
Pros: Easy to set up with clear optics
Cons: Tripod...
