After reading about the horrible stock rings, I purchased the Burris Extreme Tactical. 6 screws 3 per side. It's nice that you can work with just the center ones and secure your scope without having to torque the corner ones first. I have probably fired over 2000 rounds through my Arsenal AK-47 (SAM-7, Now -13) and no change in "zero". Plus, I have the removeable dovetail sidemount. Pop it on, pop it off, golden and no change in "zero". I think that most people overtighten their rings. Note: Rings are meant to hold the scope in place. DO NOT torque the rings down so there is no gap between the 2 halves...You will "CRUSH" the scope tube...hence..problems! Just snug your rings enough to hold the tube. Gaps between the halves are OK. rings hold the scope. The top and bottom half "DO NOT HAVE TO BE FLUSH!!! Looking to top off my Savage 10 fcp-k 308 with another scope. ...
