Great Low Recoil Air Rifle Scope

by Chillen12, from United States, MI Written on September 6, 2014
I've only used this scope for a couple of weeks ....but so far it has been a great (low price) scope. I have it mounted on a QB78 RepeaterAir Rifle which has nearly zero recoil so I believe that it will continue to perform well. Decent eye relief and again a great price for an AO scope....
Pros:
  • Low cost
Cons:
  • None

air gun rated?? not my air gun...

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on June 3, 2014
I got this scope yesterday and was excited to mount it on my Benjamin Titan Nitro piston .22 cal air gun. the scope that came with it was lacking and i thought this combo would be perfect. I don't know if this airgun is considered "magnum class", but it is capable of shooting a .22 at 950fps (alloy pellet) according to mfg. I would think a lead pellet would be around 750 to 850 fps.. somewhere in there?
Anyway, the Accushot scope mount was great and mounted up fine.. I have no issues with it other than It was a little low for my gun with the 40mm objective and i could see part of the muzzle shroud in the sight picture. the higher mount may have been a better choice. very secure mount and super solid.
the scope i had very high hopes for and really didn't plan on leaving a negative review... but the truth is it just didn't hold up. the first 30-40 mins with it spent mounting it and sighting it in.. once i had good zero i started dialing it in from there.. i was just starting to hit a quarter size group at 15-20yards.. consistently from a rest, not bad... 10 mins later i can barely hit a paper plate at the same yardage and i hear a clunking inside the scope tube around where the reticle should be. my turrets are not turned out to the extrememes and it seems well within the adjustment range.. Out of curioulsity i see if twising of the turrets down gets the clunking to go away, nope. the reticle looks a little warped when looking throught eye piece and upon further inspection th...

Barska 3-12x40 Good So Far

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, CO Written on September 7, 2013
I'll come back and review at length once I've used this item a little longer. It was on my Xisico, but not it is on my son's gamo hunter (that is in bad need of a trigger tune).
Pros: Holding up to xs28m magnum kick
Cons: Time will tell...

Great for the money.

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, IN Written on July 23, 2012
This is a great scope and I would definitely buy it for my pellet gun. It has a 3-12 zoom on it and it is clear all the way through and off to the sides. Once you get the focus right on the eye piece you just use the parallax to make the cross-hair come in focus with your target. It hold zero well and has a nice sight picture.

My biggest beef with it is that it could not take the shock of my Walter Talon Magnum .22 spring pellet gun. The ring that estimates the yardage for the parallax came unglued within the first 3 shots. Haven't fixed that yet but it should be pretty easy with the right epoxy.
Pros: Clear optics out to 150 yards.
Cons: After 3 shots on my Walter Talon Magnum .22 (spring pellet gun) the parallax ring came undone and needs to be re-glued....

Price & features too good to be true - and it wasn't.

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, IA Written on April 19, 2012
Mounted on my Remington Power-piston .22 cal pellet rifle. I have fully tuned my rifle and it does as good as a medium priced "springer" type can do. All springers are murder on scopes because of their forward recoil. This was my 3rd scope. Original factory supplied scope and Bushnell Trophy would not hold zero either (although Bushnell was best in all other features -especially clear, bright optics). I gave up on the Barska after a week of trying it and OPTICS PLANET was great in giving me a return authorization with no hassles. I am now trying a BSA 3-12 (AR312X44) and although optics are not as good as the Bushnell, after a week, it is at least holding zero compared to the other three.
Pros: None
Cons: Complete re-zero every 10 or 12 shots, next to no eye-relief....

great value!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, MD Written on January 27, 2012
Scope AC10008 has been a real blast, I have been using it now for about a month and put 500 rounds through my 22 rifle since installing the scope. In the 20 years I have been hunting and shooting this is hands down the best scope I have ever put on a 22 LR. For the money you get a great product with lots of useful features, If I get another 22 Rifle I will have this scope on it no doubt. Thanks Optics Planet!
Pros: clear lense, great finish, awsome all around
Cons: none I can tell...

Nice Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on June 12, 2011
This looked like a good scope and it was.
It met all my expectations for an inexpensive scope.
Unfortunately it only lasted about 200 shots before it fell apart. I have returned it for credit. It's rated as an airgun scope but didn't hold up on my Diana 34.
Pros: Clarity, accuracy, easy to use
Cons: Build quality...
