Good Cheap Range Scope

by rc1richard, from United States, NC Written on November 14, 2014
A good scope to see bullet holes on paper at 100 yards. The tripod is useless, just save the thumscrew off the tripod and pick up a different one. Ypu can get a good used camera tripod at a second hand store and cut it down short for benchtop use. Optics are to be expected for a cheap scope. it is lightweight so the heavier the base you use the better on windy days. I did not want to spend a lot just to see bullet holes so it works well for my use. If you need something for the range for ailing eyes this may just be the ticket for you. Although cheaply built it does serve it's purpose. My biggest complaint was shipping was a little slow....
Pros:
  • Compact and Light

  • None

great economical spotting scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, KS Written on April 18, 2014
If you are looking for a very economical spotting scope this is probably the best available. The tripod does fit inside the case with the scope despite some reviews that say it
Pros: Price and features
Cons: Not the best optics in the world...

Good starter spotting scope for the money..

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, OH Written on April 20, 2013
This is a good, cheap spotting scope for the range. The stand that it comes with is lacking, but works until you find a better one.

For the money you can't beat it... I haven't had any issues with moisture or particles getting in the lens yet either which is a good thing (and I shoot at least once a week). So it's been used a good 12-15x since I purchased it.
Pros: Cheap, long range, comes with stand.
Cons: The stand is not the best, but you can purchase a better one and swap out....

Spotting Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on December 30, 2011
If you are looking for scope for under 100 yards, this might work for range use. The optics are not very clear so dont expect quality at this price range. I really wanted to like this product but I will have to look else where.
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Not very clear...

awesome little scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on August 11, 2011
Bottom line is that the scope is sturdy and an excelent deal. Had no problem seeing .22 bullet holes at 100 yards. And the focus works great for me from 25-200 yards. The stand that comes with it feels like more of an afterthought than an extra. I picked up a old camera tripod for $6 at a yard sale and I have no complaints with the overall unit

Pros: sturdy
Cons: wwak stand...

Barska Colorado 15-40x50

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, DE Written on July 15, 2011
Its a nice spotting scope with bright image and sharp picture. The optics are clear at the lower power range, but when you get further the 30x they are a little bit fuzzy. However, I was really impressed because of the price it was to be a good option for a starter to use, as in my case.
The cons are the tripod that comes with it, that is almost useless. Better use a camera tripod. The carrying case is not so good either. Its too tight to put everything back inside.
Pros: Bright Eyepiece, Strong Magnification, Good Price
Cons: Tripod is almost useless. Poorly Illuminated, ...
