Setup was easy, the laser was incredibly bright ( but came from the factory with fingerprint smudges on the lenses, creating a cool disco style diffracted pattern, easily brought back to a single point by cleaning the lenses. ) After I installed it on said AR-15, I had turned it on for about five minutes ... then turned it off and sat the rifle on my lap. About 30 seconds after doing so, I heard a very loud and disconcerting "shhhhllllooopppp" sound, and Mr. laser was not of the living anymore ( would not turn back on. ) The battery housing, after opening, smelled like exploded electronic guts, familiar to anyone who has had something electronic blow up on them. I think this laser would be a great casual lasing device for those who need occasional laser functionality ... weekend warriors and such ... if they get ...
