not what promised

by shooter, from United States, OH Written on January 21, 2015
We have a Henry Golden Boy .22 with scope and is not even remotely accurate. We are thinking of returning it. It is easier to site in with a laser on the wall. I would spend my money else where.!!!!!!!...

Barska does it again

by JT, from United States, MO Written on December 28, 2014
This is a great boresight kit with all the essentials to get you on paper. I was a little sceptical with the product at first but was able to use this for my .22 red dot scope as well as my Nikon scope. It worked nicely....

Do not buy this (or any Barska products)

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, FL Written on January 28, 2014
Barska AW11076 bore sight from Optics Planet was advertised as "15 -piece arbor set that ranges from .177 to .50 caliber" I would not have purchased this item if the description had been more precise. The most popular caliber in the USA by a wide margin is 556/223. It is hard to believe that Barska would not include this. The 22 sized rod is loose fitting in the 556 bore and wobbles. I sent a email to Barska asking that they offer a supplemental 556 rod for customers to purchase, and that they notify me so that I could buy one. All they said back was a restatement of the obvious "Unfortunately, the rod for .223/.556 is unavailable" This review is an effort to get people to not do business with companies that don't care about fixing problems with their advertising or their products.
Cons: Can't believe they don't list included calibers in description...

Bore sighting

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, NJ Written on August 2, 2013
I used my set to bore sight both my son's 30-06 and my 300mag. We only had to make minor adjustments at the range to zero the scopes. Worked better than I thought it would and much better than the laser options that I've tried.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Must set rifle in holder to properly perform sighting...

Barska Iron Boresighter Kit

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, MD Written on June 22, 2013
Use Kit on AR-15 (.223)and Remington 700 (.308). Works well on putting your initial rounds "On Paper".

Need to be careful during the process because the business end tends to slip. Best if you have a good brace for the rifle during the process.
Pros: Ease of Use
Cons: Slips easily...

Long range shooter

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, MN Written on May 13, 2013
The Barska iron boresighter was of much better quality than I expected. No more starting out at 25 yards or less. It only takes a few minutes to get the scope close to being on target. The laser boresighters may be more accurate but not worth the extra money and batteries.
Pros: Very easy to use. Covered a full range of calibers. No setup required....

First Shot Always On Paper

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on March 26, 2013
I have used this to sight-in everything from a Nikon African on .458win to a BSA Sweet 17 on a .17HRM. It is dead on with low mounts and 40mm objectives. As the base/rings rise or the scope objective varies ie. 20mm or 50mm, the accuracy decreases. No matter it has always put the bullet within 6" of center.
Pros: A lot of arbor choices.
Cons: Won't work on AR15...

This kit does just as well as other, much more expensive kits. It's easy to use, and very accurate. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants quality without high cost.
