I bought the Bausch and Lomb Lenscope Magnifier with both the 7x and 10x lenses so that I could view coins easily. The magnifier is great for viewing coins. I find that I prefer the 7x lens in order to view the entire coin in one viewing, but sometimes switch to the 10x lens to get a closer look. The lighting feature is nice, as it is difficult to look at coins without a lighted magnifier. One drawback is that the switch doesn't have an obvious off position (a position to which you can click to the off position). To turn the magnifier off, you have to move the switch until the light turns off in between the two "on" positions somewhere in the middle of the switch path. You know it is off not because the switch clicks into an "off" position, but because the lights turns off. Other drawbacks are that the packaging is cheap, it looks cheap, and the design is unattractive. Also, I dropped it on the floor and it split into pieces. To get it to work again, I had to bend the electrical contacts for the battery. Overall, it is super low cost/cheap packaging, with a lens that seems good. If you're looking for something that will enable you to view coins, this is the right product, but if you're looking for something that you will be proud to own and will cherish for its quality, this is not the product. So, I give it a four out of five because it functions as you expect and meets expectations, but if someone were to design something better and less cheap looking, with a great lens, this product would have no market.
Pros: great for viewing coins
Cons: cheap packaging
